I started baking at 14. My goal back then was simple. I wanted my family to ask me to bring dessert to the gathering.
HoodCakes began as a revenge story. A cupcake shop let me go with no real explanation. I knew how to make cupcakes, and I knew mine were better.
People ask about the name. I tell them the same thing every time. Taste the food first. A name does not tell you how someone bakes, and clothes do not tell you who someone is.
